Brighton Fishing Quarter is the heart of Brighton’s seafront. Occupied by Brighton fishermen, local artists, photographers and independent traders, the area has a rich heritage and character unlike anywhere else. Find out more about the many shops and attractions we have to offer by selecting from the panel bellow. Neil Messenger is the Fishing Quarter's fishmonger. At Neils arch you'll find Brightons best range of locally caught fish and shell fish, straight from his family boat.

Jack & Linda Mills have been fishermen most of their lives and have been traditionally smoking fish at the Quarter for the last 11 years.

Fishing Quarter Gallery

This community based gallery provides a unique, light and airy space. Based in one of the seafront arches, it atracts a large and vaired selection of people.

Robert Leighton is our local photographer. Living and working in the place he takes his pictures, Rob can insight into Brighton & Hove like no other Photographer.

Under one of the arches lyes the Fishermans society which was established in 1813. Over the years of this establishment many historical events have taken place on the doorstep!
